What made the original NYC subway tiles so special that they are more popular today than when first introduced in the early 20th century? A perfectly flat surface, a super thin grout joint and clean white color. The reason that this exact look hasn't been produced in so long is the high precision and laborious process. Back then, the tile was pressed in a mold and each rounded edge of the molded tile had to be cut off to achieve the crisp edge. We have now created the ultimate replica!
