Zumi Glass starts with 70% recycled glass and silica sand, an abundant natural resource. Through a process called "Molten Folding" the glass is heated to 2,200 degrees and several colors of glass are actually hand folded together by a glass artist. This process creates a multi-layered effect of color variation within the mosaic.
The molten folded glass is then "Heat Slumped" (a process of re-melting) into iron molds. After cooling, the glass is then hand snapped to create a uniquely crafted edge.
Available in 14 colors, Zumi glass also comes in 2 finishes, natural clear and frosted silk.
